"Lifer" by TheWorst, the band that Alternative Press describes as ..."the glorious lovechild of Joan Jett and Kurt Cobain," is the first release on the new non-profit charity Record Label, CommunityZ RecordZ. Recorded at Chillhouse Studios with co-producer Will Holland (Pixies, Fall Out Boy), The label aims to make musicians essential in both the their local and global communities' by helping to save the world, one song, one artist, and one community at a time. For this very first charitable release, TheWorst have chosen to fight for their hometown of Portland, ME by donating ALL the profits from this purchase of "Lifer" to MaineTransNet (www.mainetrans.net). MaineTransNet is a Portland, ME based charitable organization led by transgender people for transgender people. Not only do they provide peer-to-peer support groups, social and community events, advocacy for the transgender community across Maine, and transgender cultural competency training for medical, mental health, and social service providers, they have been an integral support network for the Black Lives Matter protest movement in Maine as well. Both TheWorst and CommunityZ RecordZ are thrilled to support this crucial local charity and the important work they do. For more info on Maine Trans Net please visit www.mainetrans.net.

I keep telling you I don't belong here
Wish I was something I can't be
And I'm so sorry I can't be strong, dear
Waking up, wishing I wasn't me
I keep telling you I don't belong here
Wish I was something I can't be
And I'm so sorry I can't be strong, dear
Waking up, wishing I wasn't me
How do you know if you're a lifer,
when there's no more hope to have
Cause I'd do anything to survive here
But i've got nothing left to give
I keep telling you I don't belong here
Wish I was something I can't be
And I'm so sorry I can't be strong, dear
Waking up, wishing I wasn't me
then fuck the world and you'll be fine
go fuck the world and you'll be mine
I'll fuck the world, you'll be fine
go fuck the world and you'll be mine
I keep telling you I don't belong here
There's too many faces I need to be
